From September 1, the rules for issuing pensions will change

At the joint initiative of the Government of Georgia and Liberty Bank, the rules for issuing pensions will be changed from September 1, which means that instead of the 14th of each month, the pension amounts will be credited to the accounts of the pensioners according to a pre-arranged schedule, from the 1st to the 14th of each month, on one specific date and in the future on this date will continue to receive a pension.

The main goal of this initiative is to redistribute the flow of senior citizens on their pension enrollment dates so that they can receive banking services in an even more comfortable and secure environment. It is especially important to protect citizens from the increased risk of contracting the virus during the pandemic.

Therefore, from September 1, the schedule will be available on the website www.myliberty.ge , through any Liberty ATM and fast payment machine, via hotline 032 255 55 00 or at any Liberty service center.

As for the regions and villages where there are no Liberty Service Centers, from the 14th of each month our citizens will be served by the Liberty Express Mobile Bank and the relevant schedules will be available in the local self-governments and boards.

For example, if in September the pension is credited on 3rd day of the month – pension will continue to be credited to the account on each 3rd day of consecutive months, even if the 3rd day of the month coincides with a non-working day. Pension recipients will be able to withdraw money transferred to the social account, or pay by card as soon as it is credited.

‘The starting point of this joint decision was to create the most comfortable and secure environment for our customers. We also want to offer decent banking services to each of our fellow citizens and spend more time interacting with them. That is why it is important to clear the queues on specific dates, to streamline the flow in the bank service centers and to improve the customer experience. We gained a lot of experience during the pandemic, we saw more acceptance from our customers in terms of news, in particular the use of remote banking channels and card payments. We hope that this news will be positively evaluated by our customers as well as the society.’ - Said the Director-General of Liberty Bank, Vasil Khodeli.

We would like to remind you, that pensioners enjoy special discounts and special offers when paying by social card: up to 70% discount at Evex clinics, up to 20% discount at Pharmadepot pharmaciy houses and special prices for more than 350 products in the Nikora supermarket network throughout the country. The pension accrued on the social card can be used in any trade and pharmacy objects - wherever you can pay by card. Liberty internet and mobile banking services are available for social card holders.
