Liberty participated in an event organized within the frameworks of the UN Women's Global Initiative

Liberty participated in the event organized within the frameworks of the UN Women's Annual Global Initiative “Call for Gender Equality” in the direction of empowering women. Vasil Khodeli, the CEO of Liberty introduced to the public the steps and initiatives Liberty has taken to empower women, that will further contribute to the economic empowerment and development of women.

"Liberty is one of the first signatories of the UN Principles for the Empowerment of Women in Georgia since 2019. The keystone of our new strategy is humans, to improve the lives of people and their families. Within the process of caring for people, it is important for us to promote education and raise awareness in general. At the initiative of Liberty in collaboration with UN Women Georgia and other partner organizations, to date, up to 300 women, entrepreneurs have benefited from the special training program. In the coming years, we plan to train and support up to 2,000 women.

We are actively involved in awareness-raising campaigns - in addition to the economic empowerment of women, we seek to change public attitudes towards specific issues and break down stereotypes. Liberty has been a loyal supporter of the women's football team WFC "Lanchkhuti" for the second year in a row, and each of their victories is a symbol of strength and victory for many women.

We are proud that 50% of the employees in managerial positions of Liberty and 30% of the management are women. This is not enough and we have plans in this direction as well. As part of our long-term strategy, in the future as well, we will continue to support projects that will enable even more women to be educated, strong, and independent.” –  Vasil Khodeli, CEO of Liberty.
