Liberty is one of Georgia's largest financial institutions, serving more than 1.7 million retail customers and over 60,000 small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
The bank operates the country's most extensive network, with nearly 500 service centers and approximately 700 ATMs across all regions and municipalities.
During the first half of 2026, Liberty recorded significant growth across its key financial indicators:
• Total assets – GEL 6.3 billion, up 15%.
• Gross loan portfolio – GEL 4.6 billion, up 15%.
• Total deposit portfolio – GEL 5 billion, up 34%.
According to its financial results for the first half of 2026, Liberty reported a net profit of GEL 52.8 million.
Over the past several years, Liberty has undergone a significant transformation, evolving from a financial institution focused on the social segment into a diversified universal bank.
Today, social loans account for only 11% of the bank's total loan portfolio, while its revenue streams are diversified across retail, MSME, pawn lending, and corporate banking.
A key highlight has been the development of Liberty's MSME business, whose portfolio has grown fourfold over the past five years. Today, it stands at GEL 1.85 billion and represents one of the bank's most important strategic business lines.
The segment serves micro, small, and medium-sized businesses across the country. All three sub-segments continue to demonstrate sustainable growth, significantly strengthening the bank's position in the market.
Alongside its traditional retail and business banking services, Liberty continues to actively advance its digital transformation and expand its remote banking channels. Over the past year, the number of digital customers increased by 12.6%, reaching nearly 1 million, reflecting the growing demand for modern banking services and the gradual shift in customer behavior toward digital channels.
The results for the first half of 2026 fully reflect Liberty's strong position in Georgia's financial market, the growth of its core business segments, and the consistent development of services tailored to the needs of its diverse customer base.
In April 2026, Basisbank acquired 95.99% of Liberty's shares. Basisbank has built an ecosystem focused on the success and long-term trust of its customers by offering banking, leasing, and insurance services to corporate, small and medium-sized business, and retail clients. According to its financial results for the first half of 2026, Basisbank's total assets amounted to GEL 6.2 billion, its gross loan portfolio reached GEL 3.7 billion, and its total deposit portfolio stood at GEL 4 billion. Net profit for the first six months of 2026 increased by 44%, reaching GEL 74 million.
